George is a lover of all things food, wine, and cigars, and cultivates his one-of-a-kind natural palate with constant tastings (when he’s off the clock as a doctor of course). He picked-up cooking during his time in medical school, in some ways out of a necessity to still enjoy good meals on a med school budget, and hasn’t looked back since. George has taken his passion to the next level, and is currently the Bailliage (head) of the Charlotte chapter of Chaine des Rotisseurs, a distinguished French culinary society with chapters across the globe. In addition to his time leading Chaine des Rotisseurs, George is a member of the Hickory Wine Club, the Hickory Cigar Club, and the Charlotte City Club. You can usually find him around the greater Charlotte area leading a wine pairing dinner, tasting, or just enjoying a few bottles from his expansive cellar at home or at the City Club with friends.
When he’s not our resident food and wine expert, George is a doctor near Hickory, NC with his wife and their two young sons.

Alex was a born traveler, and has a hard time staying in any one place for too long. As he sought to understand places and people through their local cuisine, he realized that this is near impossible without understanding their local wine. Alex has traveled to over 30 countries on 6 continents (they don’t grow grapes on Antarctica, so not a lot of reason to visit) and has sampled countless wines along the way. Some of his favorite wine regions include Sicily, Argentina, South of France, and Napa. When he is not traveling, he is a member of a number of wineries in Northern California, and enjoys golfing, biking, hiking, and finding new under the radar restaurants.
In the real world, Alex works for a real estate tech company in San Francisco.
